Development of domestic foot market

Foot, in the past few years has been stirred up vigorously, the country's large and small hospitals scramble to set up a foot, and recently it seems that the foot market has entered a slump, the establishment of hospitals around the foot almost disappeared, no longer boiling cheers. In the United States, podiatrics has a history of more than one hundred years, and its development can not be described as thriving, at least steadily. Why is the domestic foot market going so hard? The reasons are as follows:
First, the reasons for the patients:
1. Insufficient understanding of the foot market: ordinary people do not have the concept of foot, it seems that once some common foot diseases occur, people first think of some places of foot repair or folk medicine, such as chicken eyes, foot pads, warts, beriberi, grey nails and other common foot diseases, the most common treatment is to find a pedicure. Pedicure, buy some corn paste on the roadside to stick a sticker. The first reaction is not to go to the hospital.
2. The quality of life is not high: small or uncomfortable feet, or even more serious pain, because it does not affect eating, do not affect drinking, soaking feet in the evening, the next day as usual life, there are such a part of people once a foot disease, he chose to endure. Statistics show that these people account for 23% of the patients with foot diseases.
3. Limited by the economic level: China has been in a developing country for decades, and has been busy for a long time for the problem of food and clothing.
Two, hospital problems:
1. Because there is no foot specialty in China and no foot department is set up in hospitals, the patients with foot disease in China are divided into two parts, one part belongs to dermatology, the other belongs to orthopedics. Some patients don't even know that they should go to that department, but they have to go to those doctors.
2. Professional orthopaedics do not know enough about some foot diseases, such as chicken eyes and footpads. Many doctors do not know the mechanism of their formation and the principles of treatment, which makes it difficult to satisfy patients. I have seen some patients in the outpatient clinic because of the footpad pain under the second metatarsal head of the foot, in the third-class A hospital for surgery, the surgical method only to cut off the footpad, and did not correct local bone deformities, resulting in more serious postoperative pain;
3. Great doctors in general hospitals do not pay enough attention to foot diseases. The doctors in general hospitals, especially those in Grade III and Grade A hospitals, only pay attention to major diseases and major operations. Some foot operations are troublesome and unprofitable, leading some doctors to ignore foot operations at all. This is also a major reason for the loss of patients.
4. The hospital regards some foot operations as orthopaedic operations and does not reimburse medical expenses, which limits some patients to see a doctor.
3. The imperfection of the domestic medical insurance industry: the domestic medical insurance only bears the cost of major diseases, and some minor diseases, especially those involving orthopedic surgery, are not reimbursed by insurance companies. This limits a large number of patients.
